Kenya is an SKA partner country focused on building high-tech capacity through regional collaboration. Key highlights include:
• Infrastructure & Technology: Site for the installation of the Transient Array Radio Telescope (TART) (2024–2027) and a participant in the AVN (Africa Very Long Baseline Interferometry Network) dish conversion project.
• Academic Success: Students at the Technical University of Kenya use the Astrolab project for honors dissertations, analyzing eclipsing binary stars using Python and remote 40-cm telescopes from the Las Cumbres Observatory.
• Strategic Programs: Active hub for DARA, providing high-tech STEM skills in radio astronomy, and PAP2SN, promoting academic mobility in planetary and space science.
• Leadership: National activities are overseen by Country Coordinator Samuel Nyangi Kihuha.
