Botswana is a growing regional hub with recently developed astronomy infrastructure, including the planned Transient Array Radio Telescope (TART) installation (2024–2027). Key highlights include:
• Major Hosting: Host of the 2026 AfAS Annual Conference and the associated Astrolab Workshop at Wild View Resorts.
• Strategic Programs: Active hub for DARA high-tech skills training.
• Education & Outreach: Conducts Teacher Training Programs and specialized outreach through BIUST, including safari tour guide training and public stargazing.
